The Chalet Kilauea Collection in Volcano has a vast array of subtropical plants and flowers on it's grounds, in every color imaginable ~ even black! The area is part of a rainforest where they are able to thrive.
I arrived there after a good rain so the plants were still holding little puddles inside. (Did you ever get the feeling you were not alone?)

My favorite - the Monkeypod Tree.
Then the sun came out and the sky was BLUE, which doesn't happen very often!
It is just amazing here. In every square inch you can find another little growth in different colors.
